Geotech Environmental Equipment Awarded Safety & Health
Achievement Recognition Program Certification

Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc. is pleased that they have again been awarded the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) certification for operating an exemplary safety and health management system. The achievement singles Geotech out among their business peers as a model for worksite safety and health. This award allows OSHA to exempt our worksite from programmed inspections during the certification period.

“In addition to the SHARP audit, we have had no lost time accidents in over three years,” said Jeff Popiel, President and CEO of Geotech Environmental Equipment.“Safety is our top concern whether in the factory or for our customers in the field. Our team works hard to ensure the safety and well-being of anyone who sets foot on any Geotech property. Safety for our customers is reflected in the products we develop as well.”

Rich Gordon, Geotech’s Safety Manager explained, “The implementation of a Near Miss Communication Board and weekly Safety meetings were instrumental for increasing awareness throughout the company.”

To qualify for SHARP, companies must undergo a comprehensive audit, correct all identified hazards, demonstrate that effective safety and health programs are in place, and maintain injury rates below the national average for the previous three years.

Geotech Environmental Equipment has continuously held this award since September 2008.
